I am an internal medicine physician with 35 years of experience in primary care.

I have weathered the epic changes in medicine as our population doubled and medicine changing from personal care to population-based care.

I became most alarmed with the outbreak of the SARS-Co2 virus causing the epidemic of COVID-19 and the amount of mis- and disinformation out there for my patients.

I distill what I read in the scientific and popular literature and boil it down to its most practical for those of us living our lives day to day.

I try to stay with the scientifically-proven when recommending one thing or another and freely admit when there is something available that might be helpful, but yet has not proven to be helpful.

I subscribe to a number of supplement websites and peruse many sites that espouse one thing or another.

I always place priority on what is scientifically proven, then what makes good sense based on a variety of information, and lastly what is espoused as one person’s opinion. I place minimal credence in commercial marketing material.
